The problems
our choice


To study photoassisted degradation we chose:
  1. anatase TiO2 nanoparticles (Degussa P25) as catalyst immobilised on different inert supports; four catalytic systems were tested and compared
  2. a glass cell equipped with a filter in order to maintain in the cell the catalyst eventually lost from the support
  3. an UV light source with opportune wavelength
  4. five target molecules with different recalcitrance
