Photoassisted degradation


The photodegradation process needs:
  1. UV irradiation (with wavelength from 100 up to 400 nm)
  2. a catalyst able to generate radicalic species under UV exposure
  3. an, at least stoichiometric quantity of dissolved O2 in solution

The process can be followed by monitoring the target molecule disappearing or the CO2 concentration increase in the test solution
