What measure units must be used?

In the long abstract, poster, presentation, and in the (we hope) following publication, you must use ONLY the S.I. (Système International d'Unités) for unités and symboles. Reduce use of unstandard, cm-1 or inches or Atm or ... . For reference you can find documents and instructions on BIPM web site,

The poster must be up to B1 paper format, if you need more information on ISO 216 or standard ISO paper please read the related links on the apposite web page, they contain also a few advises on the preparation of the standard poster or Oral and Poster suggestions. But, please, read the invaluable slides on creating academic poster (13.5 s/poster).

Interesting is also a guide to participation to a Congress, as this one.

Software used for presentation

To show the oral presentations is available an Intel PC with freeware viewer, english versions. So we suggest the download only the following Windows english versions:

and careful test the visibility with those software of your presentation-poster before send/bring to Meeting or sent to us.

For the authors of Virtual Presentation we strongly suggested the use of .PPT or .PDF (NOT .pptx) files. Please check and re-check with the above cited software before sending.

The proceeding and Long-Abstract are, after, available on Meeting CD in .pdf format obtained by mean of GPL print driver starting from these freeware viewers. Please do-not use the last, last, version of Editor, Writer, SlideShower and so on; someone in one Dev.Country securely have not!

Objective of next meeting is make presentation only with OpenSource or GPL software.

At the meeting you will find
At the meeting room and in secretary table you can find the following:
XGA computer connected to LCD projector
(with 1024x768 pixels)
VGA 15 pins (DC15) switch able to connect your computer to our LCD projector, if needed
(not DVI, HDMI, e.g)
scissors and shears to cut your poster and reduce to B1 standard
(or folding, burn, and other methods to reduce the size)

The notebook available in the Conference room use Win10 LTSC for better compatibility and can be used for the presentation, cannot be used to insert/modify your communication.

Presentations can be checked by a computer located outside the meeting room and transferred to the presentation's notebook trough a small LAN on purpose constructed. We can read common USB Memory Stick, USB-HDD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD and some picture memory cards.

The LCD projector has XGA resolution (1024x768 pixels, 24 bit colour), the presenter must take this into account when prepare her/his presentation.

How to control my presentation?

The LAN (Local Area Network) is a communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used. The "servers" hold programs and data that are shared by the clients.

first LAN, Chase Manhattan Bank, NY, feb 1978

In every edition we build a proprietary and dedicated L.A.N.. One notebook is into conference room for presentation, other clients are in reception for staff and participants.

One computer near the reception's desk have the same Operating System, the same software, the same viewers, the same browsers, the same plug-in of the notebook used for presentation. So you can must check you presentation before and leave on our server.

When you start for presentation you find yours file(s) on the desktop of the notebook. The PC used for presentation have the USB port disabled and haven't the CDrom.

There are four GSM-UMTS companies, with different prices,
but we cannot show names and links because
none of these companies support this meeting!

We do not know the positions of WiFi Hot Spot in the city but major telephone companies have repeaters. Near the Meeting room there is, almost, one computer with Internet connection for presenter-attendancer. If you like read our notes on privacy and about security.
