Tridistilled water

The tridistilled water used to wash the bottles, the filters, the electrodes, the Niskin was produced by a Buchi Fontavapor 285 distiller opportunely modified by us.

The device has been modified separating the cooling circuit, now fed with city water; in such way the distillation circuit is supplied only with the departmental distilled water. A tridistiller, all in Pyrex glass, with no contact between the ultrapure and cooling water is obtained.

Water was then filtered on a sandwich of 0.47 and 0.2 micron filters, the head space wasted, and other stored in new polyethylene bottles previously washed three times.
